A video has emerged of President-elect Donald Trump defecating on a bible at an alcohol fueled party in front of shocked onlookers.
The footage surfaced yesterday on various social media outlets before rapidly spreading across the internet provoking widespread anger and condemnation.
The video shows a semi naked Trump smiling and giving the camera a thumbs up as he appears to defecate on a bible while declaring to fellow partygoers, “This is what I do!”. It is unclear when the footage was taken and Trump has yet to comment on the incident.
Despite the outpouring of disgust felt by most Christians many prominent figures from the evangelical community have rushed to defend the billionaire tycoon.
Liberty University president Jerry Falwell Jr has released a statement declaring Trump’s actions as, “unchristian and immature” but that they “pale into insignificance when compared to Hillary Clinton’s support of criminal birth control and her bigoted opinions of evangelicals.”
James Dobson, founder of Family Talk, has echoed Falwell’s stance declaring Trump as, “our single best hope in protecting America’s Christian heritage.” Evangelist Franklin Graham has also sought to play down the incident stressing, “while I don’t condone the act I won’t let one action define the whole character of a man.”
Trump, 70, will be inaugurated as the next President of the United States on January 20th.
